How to read a certificate of analysis
Start with the lot. Match the identifier on your product label to the certificate. The configuration, material form and COA issue date identify the published document.
Read the result with its unit. Chromatographic purity describes the measured detector-area proportion. Content describes the measured amount per unit. Neither measurement substitutes for the other; compare each with the criterion and method on the report.
Review the complete record. Contamination and microbiology results have their own methods and reporting limits. A less-than sign identifies a reporting threshold, and a sterility result applies to the tested units. Open the report to see the applicable results and supporting context.
APEX STANDARD:
VERIFIED PURITY
In an industry full of uncertainty, Apex Laboratory provides absolute precision. We don’t just sell compounds; we engineer scientific infrastructure.
Explore product-specific analytical records for the Apex peptides catalog. Our in-house COAs identify the configuration, lot, issue date, methods and results. Review purity, measured content and applicable impurity tests in context, with separate measurements for excipients and biological activity where relevant. Open the report for the material you are evaluating before ordering.
LOT-SPECIFIC TEST RESULTS
Our COAs report product-specific purity, measured content and applicable impurity tests. Review each result with its method, units and acceptance criterion.
ENCRYPTED & SECURE
Your data is protected by 256-bit SSL encryption. We utilize strict privacy protocols and do not share client information with third parties.
SAME-DAY DISPATCH

Before you
place an order.
What you'll want to know about ordering, shipping, payment, and what we test for. If your question isn't covered here, email our support team — we respond within one business day.
01 Is Apex Laboratory a legitimate research peptide supplier?
Yes. Apex Laboratory is a U.S.-based supplier of research-grade peptides, reagents, and bacteriostatic solutions for in-vitro laboratory applications. Researchers may also search for our catalog as Apex peptides or Apex Lab peptides; apexlab.org is the official Apex Laboratory website and catalog. Our in-house analytical records identify product configurations and lots, with results, methods and COA issue dates. Find the report that matches your material in our public COA archive. Apex Laboratory operates independently at apexlab.org and is not affiliated with other businesses using similar Apex names.
02 Are your products tested for purity before shipping?
The COA library includes product-specific results from Apex Laboratory's in-house team. Where chromatographic purity is applicable, it is reported as detector-area percentage. Content, identity, activity and microbiological tests are separate endpoints. Review the exact configuration and lot in our Lab Verified archive — no email gate, no paywall.
03 How fast do you ship orders?
Orders placed before 2:00 PM ET ship the same business day. Orders placed after 2:00 PM ET ship the next business day. We use USPS Priority Mail and UPS for domestic shipping with tracking provided on every order. Most U.S. orders arrive within 2–3 business days. During occasional volume surges following promotional launches, processing may extend by 1–2 days; we communicate proactively if your order falls into that window.
04 What payment methods do you accept?
Available payment methods are shown at checkout and may vary by order. Current options include credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Cash App, ACH bank transfer, and cryptocurrency.
05 Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship within the United States only. International shipping for research reagents is subject to import regulations that vary significantly by country, and we do not currently offer international fulfillment. We are evaluating select international markets for future expansion. If you are an international researcher, email our support team with your country of operation — we maintain a waitlist for upcoming international launches.
06 What is your return and refund policy?
Due to the regulated nature of research reagents and the requirement to maintain analytical chain-of-custody, we do not accept returns of opened products. Sealed, unopened vials may be returned within 7 days of receipt for a full refund minus shipping. If a product arrives damaged in transit or fails to match its certificate of analysis, contact our support team within 7 days of receipt and we will replace the product at no cost or issue a full refund — your choice.
07 How are research compounds packaged for shipping?
All lyophilized compounds ship in sterile vials sealed with PTFE-faced butyl rubber septa and crimped aluminum caps for tamper evidence. Vials are individually padded and packed in rigid outer cartons. Orders include cold-pack insulation when ambient temperatures may exceed 80°F at the destination zip code. Bacteriostatic water and liquid solutions ship in USP Type I borosilicate glass vials with tamper-evident closures. Every shipment includes a packing slip with batch IDs cross-referencing your products to their COAs.
08 Do I need an account to place an order?
An account makes order tracking, downloadable COAs, and reordering easier — but it is not required. Guest checkout is available for first-time orders. If you create an account during checkout, your order history, saved shipping addresses, and downloadable certificates of analysis are accessible from the account dashboard. Account creation does not subscribe you to marketing emails; transactional emails (order confirmation, shipping updates) are sent regardless.
09 Can I track my order?
Yes. Every order receives a tracking number via email once the shipment is processed. Tracking activates when the carrier scans the package at first pickup, typically within a few hours of dispatch. You can also track active orders from your account dashboard at any time. If tracking has not updated within 24 hours of dispatch, the carrier scan was likely missed at origin — your package is still in transit and tracking will catch up at the next sort facility.
10 Are research peptides legal to purchase?
Apex Laboratory supplies research peptides only as chemical reagents for in-vitro laboratory research applications. They are not approved by the FDA for human use, veterinary use, or any therapeutic application. Purchasers assume full responsibility for safe handling, proper storage, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws governing the purchase and use of chemical research reagents. Some compounds may be subject to additional regulatory oversight in specific jurisdictions; you are responsible for verifying compliance in your location.
